How did you hear about us?

By submitting this adoption application and, if successful, adopting an animal from Yass Valley Cat Rescue (YVCR) you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

In accordance with the Companion Animals Act 1998 (NSW) and YVCR’s obligations as a Designated Rehoming Organisation (DRO), you as the adopter agree to:

At all times provide a safe and loving home with adequate food, water, shelter, enrichment, and veterinary care, and to honour the cat’s welfare as a lifelong commitment.
Maintain compliance with local council laws (registration, containment, desexing etc).
Make all reasonable efforts to rehome the cat if you are no longer able to keep the cat yourself (e.g. through family, friends, or trusted networks). YVCR should only be considered a secondary option unless urgent circumstances apply.
Notify YVCR immediately within the first twelve (12) months of adoption if the cat is lost, stolen, deceased, or if you intend to rehome it.
Note that YVCR may reclaim the cat if conditions of adoption or welfare standards are not met.
